Profiles crossing the river Isar in Bavaria/Germany

The “Wasserwirtschaftsamt Deggendorf” ordered the monitoring of the lower part of the river Isar by surveying of more than 50 profiles across the river. The surveying began in 1999 and is repeated once a year. We use a wooden boat with a 40 hp outboard motor to withstand the current.

Bottom mapping of a deep lake in the Alps

A part of a deep lake should be mapped to get a contour map. The expected depths were more than 80 m. We used a wooden boat with an 5 hp outboard motor.

Bottom mapping of water filled gravel pits

Two neighboring gravel pits were mapped. The results should be used to calculate the remaining gravel capacities of these artificial lakes. The echosounder measurements were made using a small plastic boat with an electric outboard motor. Due to this zero-emission power we needed no official permissions.
